Shaft Locking Assemblies

Shaft Locking Assemblies
Transmission Australia offer a full range of both self centring, non-self centring and shrink disk type shaft locking assemblies

Shaft locking assemblies are used for connecting two rotating elements together rigidly. The advantage of these over the conventional technique of welding components together is that the shaft can be easily replaced and they don't require a keyway. They consist of two tapered rings with screws that tighten the assembly pulling one taper up on the other expanding and locking the surfaces against each other.

Applications include removable shafts on drum assemblies, pulleys and sprockets on line shafts, and on extended hollow shaft gearboxes to mate gearbox and shaft together.

Transmission Australia offer a full range of both self centring, non-self centring and shrink disk type shaft locking assemblies.
