CMG Transmission / Transmission Australia Integration

In recent months CMG PTY LTD and it's group of companies were acquired by the Regal Beloit Company (RBC), this acquisition is a very positive move and will allow us to build on what is a already a solid base.

Regal Beloit Corporation is an international manufacturer of electrical and mechanical motor control components head quartered in Beloit, Wisconsin. Its stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol 'RBC'. RBC's strength is in its market diversity as it serves an expansive array of markets from heavy industry to high technology.

The Regal Beloit business model is to have separate electrical and mechanical divisions to ensure their customers specific requirements are met by a sales team totally focused on that core group of products.

CMG PTY Ltd plan to restructure its business model and separate our mechanical and electrical divisions, we firmly believe this will allow us to improve our current level of service to your company.

As part of our planned restructure we will be transferring all marketing and sales of our transmission range to our Mechanical Division being Transmission Australia effective 1st August 2010.

In essence CMG Pty Ltd. will be the Electrical Division responsible for marketing and sales of electric motors and variable speed drives, Transmission Australia will be the Mechanical Division responsible for geared motors and other transmission products.

Please be assured that the level of support provided to you in the past will continue under our Mechanical Division and we are confident that this support will be taken to the next level through their team of dedicated specialists.

Should you require further information regarding future business dealings we ask that you direct your questions to the following personnel:

Big Couplings - July 2007

TA Australia recently won and order for three Esco gear couplings.

So what?

These couplings are not small and not cheap. The Esco Gear Coupling order is worth over A$100,000 and they where big couplings!

Each coupling weighs over 1500kg, are just under 1000mm outside diameter and have a torque rating of 560,000Nm.

Gear couplings such as these are regularly used on mill drives for example in the mining industry. With the mining boom in Australia, this is a great opportunity for all CMG Engineering Group companies that deal with the mine site to be aware to potential sales such as these that can be serviced by the CMG Engineering Group and in particular by Transmission Australia.

If we sell the electric motor or a gearmotor, something is hanging off the shaft! Good chance it will be a power transmission product that TA can supply. It is also a way to value add to the order, cross promote the advantages of dealing with the CMG Engineering Group and add value to our customers purchasing process.

TA expands with new acquisition - December 2006

Transmission Australia is pleased to announce that the transmission division of the Engineered Products Group Pty Ltd (EPG) will be integrated into TA (effective 01.12.06). EPG, an Australian owned company with five branches nationwide and four divisions (Transmission, Fluid Power, Pump and Engine) made the decision to divest itself of the power transmission aspect of the business and intensify efforts on pumping and fluid control.

The EPG transmission division was founded in the late 1800's under the name Gibson Battle Company. Products distributed by the EPG power transmission division will add significantly to the TA range. TA is very happy to announce that we will be the importer/distributors of the KANA and Pulton products. We will also be the preferred supplier of the Rexnord Omega coupling.

We would like to welcome the staff from EPG who will be joining us around the country.
